Coming to the Consumer Rights Litigation Conference? Why haven't you signed up for Lobby Day yet?

We’re kicking off this year’s Consumer Rights Litigation Conference in Washington, D.C. by joining National Association of Consumer Advocates (NACA) members and consumer attorneys from around the country for NACA’s Consumer Rights Lobby Day on November 6, 2013 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm ET.  NACA’s Consumer Rights Lobby Day 2013 on Capitol Hill will focus on consumer protection issues of importance to NACA members, including advocating support for the Arbitration Fairness Act (S. 878/H.R. 1844).

NACA is requiring pre-registration for NACA’s Consumer Rights Lobby Day by October 18, 2013. Please register by signing into the Members Only side of NACA, select Event Registration, and Lobby Day. We will be holding an in-person Lobby Day Orientation on Wednesday, November 6th from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 am at the Marriott Crystal City Gateway Hotel, followed by Congressional visits on Capitol Hill. We will also be conducting a webinar on Thursday, October 31st for those of you unable to participate in the Lobby Day Orientation on November 6th.

Once you register for NACA’s Lobby Day, we will be sending you information about the day’s schedule, how to prepare for Hill visits, and NACA policy talking points. You will also receive free access to the NACA Lobby Day Orientation Webinar on October 31st at 1 pm EST. There will be no charge to participate in the NACA Lobby Day; however you will need to pay for your own transportation and meal costs.  NACA’s Legislative Unit will work with participants, who will be responsible for making appointments with their Senators and Representative. NACA is also reaching out to NACA State Chairs to help organize the Congressional visits.

We think that NACA’s Lobby Day is an important way for our community of consumer law attorneys to make a difference in promoting consumer rights.  As constituents and community leaders, you are in the best position to explain to a Member of Congress or a Congressional staffer how a consumer issue is affecting your district, state, and the country.
