NACA in American Banker: Credit Union Opposition to CFPB Arbitration Plan Is Baffling

Last week, American Banker's blog "BankThink," posted a NACA opinion-editorial about the credit union industry's peculiar opposition to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau's proposed rule on forced arbitration. While the CFPB's empirical data shows that most credit unions do not use forced arbitration clauses in their member contracts, industry representatives in Washington have decided to run with big banks and big business to back forced arbitration and deprive credit union members of critical choices.
