Speakers

SaraEllen M. Hutchison is a Seattle-Tacoma consumer lawyer who opened her solo practice in 2010. SaraEllen’s notable cases include Boldt v. Quick Collect, Inc., Pierce County, Washington Superior Court Case No. 13-2-14613-0; under the FDCPA and Washington State Consumer Protection Act); Easbey & Hart v. Standley et al, Clark County, Washington Superior Court Case No. 13-2-03133-1, and, with fellow NACA member Cary Flitter, Douglass v Convergent Outsourcing, 765 F.3d 299 (3rd Cir. 2014) (held that an account number visible through an envelope window violates the FDCPA). SaraEllen enjoys helping other lawyers create meaningful and sustainable solo practices through mindfulness, frugality, and sharing her wealth of practical experience. SaraEllen graduated cum laude from Georgia State University College of Law in December 2004. She is on Twitter @lawyerhutch.

Adam Singer is a consumer rights advocate with extensive civil litigation experience. He represents individuals harmed by corporate violations of their consumer rights and pursues cases in the federal and state courts. He leverages his expertise in civil litigation together with his knowledge of consumer laws to seek justice under the law for victims of credit report errors, identity theft, telemarketer harassment, unfair debt collection, and other deceptive business practices. Previously, Adam served as a law clerk for the Hon. Sidney H. Stein, US District Judge for the Southern District of New York, Manhattan Division and as a litigation associate at the international law firms of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, LLP and Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld, LLP. Adam attended the University of Pennsylvania Law School where he earned his Juris Doctorate, cum laude, and received his B.A, summa cum laude, at Washington University in St. Louis.
