The National Association of Consumer Advocates (NACA) sent a letter to the Legal Services Corporation to advocate for the continued maintenance of LSC’s critical function in our society. LSC deserves significantly more funding than it currently receives. With 58 million Americans eligible for free civil legal assistance, LSC’s current funding is insufficient to support this tremendous responsibility.
In a letter, NACA calls for increased LSC funding for FY2021. LSC deserves additional funds to sustain and expand on the critical work of its independent legal aid organizations that provide vital civil legal services to millions of people across the country.
NACA sent a letter to support and advocate for FY 2020 funding of Legal Services Corporation (LSC). LSC deserves additional funding, far more than the status quo, to adequately support its independent legal aid organizations across the country so that they can provide vital civil legal services for the 58 million Americans eligible to receive such assistance.
The National Association of Consumer Advocates strongly supports Legal Services Corporation’s (LSC) funding request. There is no question that LSC deserves full funding to assist its independent legal aid organizations across the country that provide a wide range of civil legal services for more than 60 million Americans.
