The National Association of Consumer Advocates is a nonprofit 501(c) (6) organization of more than 1,500 consumer advocates and attorneys representing consumers victimized by fraudulent, abusive, and predatory business practices.
Founded in 1994, NACA's mission is to ensure justice for consumers, particularly those of low to moderate incomes. NACA provides training, technical assistance, and litigation support to consumer advocates all across our nation. NACA also spearheads initiatives that champion consumer interests before the courts, Congress, administrative agencies, and the media.

Please DO NOT fill out your application in all caps or abbreviate city names; doing so can cause problems within our database.
If you choose to pay your dues by check, please DO NOT mail the check until after you have received word that your application has been accepted.
If you are a former member of NACA whose membership lapsed and you would like to reinstate, you will be reinstated at your previous membership level (assuming you still qualify for membership) if less than two years have passed since you were last an active member.
The Application Process
When you submit your application, we will process your membership dues at that time; however, you will NOT be an active member of NACA until your application has been vetted and approved (see next paragraph). In the the event that your membership is not approved or you withdraw your application, we will return your dues payment minus a $25 processing fee.
Once you have submitted your application, it will be sent on to your state chair to be vetted for approval. This process usually takes between 2–3 weeks, depending on the volume of applications at that time. Once your application has been approved, we will activate your membership so that you will have access to NACA’s many benefits.
Please note that the membership year runs from July 1–June 30 and that dues for new members only are prorated accordingly. Memberships approved after April will be charged the full dues amount for the following membership year.

If you would like to take your involvement with NACA to the next level and be a leader in the field, there are several categories of higher-level memberships available. In addition to increased recoginition, there are a number of other benefits that come along with the higher-level memberships.
* Current military attorneys may apply for a scholarship to cover their NACA dues or conference participation. This opportunity is made possible thanks to a generous cy pres award to NACA for military attorneys.
Individuals applying for membership or existing members preparing to renew can apply for a scholarship that will cover a portion of the 2017-2018 dues. All scholarship requestes for the 2017-2018 membership year must be received by July 14, 2017 to be considered. Applications will be considered on a rolling basis until funds are exhausted. If you were offered a scholarship for the 2016-2017 membership year, you are not eligible to apply. If you are awarded a scholarship and accept, we ask that you volunteer with us in one of the volunteer capacities that becomes available over the next year.
Legal Aid Organizational Membership
The organizational membership is only available to legal aid organizations. For $500, a legal aid organization can have up to five attorneys included in membership. Also included in organizational membership are two complimentary webinars.
