Real estate brokers have enjoyed decades of freedom from regulation and accountability, resulting in commission levels about twice that of comparable nations. The NAR settlement exposed the underlying anti-competitive practices, but the industry is adapting its model to maintain inflated commissions. This webinar will discuss opportunities available to consumer protection attorneys– whether representing individual consumers or bringing class cases– to make a difference for home buyers and sellers.
What You Will Learn:
• What the NAR lawsuit was all about and the terms of the settlement.
• How realtors are doing work arounds and potential causes of action
• How to represent consumers who are working with realtors
