NACA welcomes you to join our community! We are an organization of more than 1,500 advocates fighting for consumer justice. Since 1994, NACA attorneys and advocates have helped level the playing field against fraudulent and predatory business practices. Now more than ever, we need you to help advance the cause for the just and ethical treatment of everyday people.
If you are a former NACA member whose membership has lapsed and you would like to reinstate, please contact us at email@example.com. If less than two years have passed since your membership was active, you will be reinstated at your previous membership level and won't need to reapply.
The Application Process
When you submit your application, we will collect your payment information at that time, but your card will not be charged your application has been vetted and approved (see next paragraph). In the event that you withdraw your application or that your application is rejected, we will delete the encrypted payment information and no charge will be made to your card.
Once you have submitted your application, it will be sent on to your state chair to be vetted for approval. This process usually takes between 2–3 weeks, depending on the volume of applications at that time. Once your application has been approved, we will activate your membership so that you will have access to NACA’s many benefits.
The membership year runs from July 1–June 30 and that dues for new members only are prorated accordingly. Memberships approved after April will be charged the full dues amount for the following membership year.
Please note that the dues payment will be determined based on the date when you submit your application, not the date when your application is approved.

If you would like to take your involvement with NACA to the next level and be a leader in the field, there are several categories of higher-level memberships available. In addition to increased recognition, there are a number of other benefits that come along with the higher-level memberships.
* Current military attorneys may apply for a scholarship to cover their NACA dues or conference participation. This opportunity is made possible thanks to a generous cy pres award to NACA for military attorneys.
Individuals applying for membership or existing members preparing to renew can apply for a scholarship that will cover a portion of the 2018-2019 dues. All scholarship requests for the 2018-2019 membership year must be received by July 13, 2018 to be considered. Applications will be considered on a rolling basis until funds are exhausted. If you were offered a scholarship for the 2017-2018 membership year, you are not eligible to apply. If you are awarded a scholarship and accept, we ask that you volunteer with us in one of the volunteer capacities that becomes available over the next year.
Legal Aid Organizational Membership
The organizational membership is only available to legal aid organizations. For $500, a legal aid organization can have up to five attorneys included in membership. Also included in organizational membership are two complimentary webinars.
