Dear NACA Community:

It has been a busy year at NACA. As part of our current strategic plan, our board has been focusing on making your experience as a member the best possible. We are pleased to report some of the improvements that we, after receiving extensive input from our members, have now put in place.

NACA has moved to an anniversary membership renewal system. Your membership will now last for twelve months from the day you renew, instead of being tied to a membership calendar of July 1 to June 30. No matter when you renew, you will get the full benefit of a year of membership.

NACA will now provide you with the choice to auto-renew your membership. If you save payment information in your profile and check the “Auto Pay” box when you renew your membership this year, you won’t have to worry about your membership lapsing in the future.

The NACA board of directors, after much careful discussion and thought, has unanimously decided that all of NACA’s listservs should be open to all of our members. Moving forward, NACA will no longer require an additional vetting process for individual listservs after someone is admitted as a member. The board believes that this change will help in our goal of making NACA a more welcoming and inclusive community and, ultimately, a bigger and stronger force for consumer justice.

We expect that this is just the beginning of improvements meant to build and strengthen our community. Stay tuned for future announcements about new benefits and resources for NACA members.

Please feel free to reach out to us at [email protected] if you have additional questions or thoughts about these or other matters concerning the quality and strength of our NACA community.

Sincerely,

Dave Philipps and Mike Quirk, Co-Chairs of the NACA Board of Directors
