NACA joined a group letter to the U.S. House Committee on Energy and Commerce, Subcommittee on Commerce, Manufacturing, and Trade expressing concerns over the SELF DRIVE Act. Among other issues, the SELF DRIVE Act would endanger consumers by preempting state and local laws that would apply to autonomous vehicles (AVs) and their manufacturers, and continue to allow forced arbitration clauses to proliferate in the AV marketplace.
