Collection of private student loans by third-party entities has swelled in the last five years. This webinar will cover some of the strategies used to defend student loan borrowers in lawsuits brought by one of the National Collegiate Student Loan Trusts (NCSLT) or Student Loan Solutions (SLS). The webinar is geared primarily towards attorneys seeing their first NCSLT and SLS cases.

Christina L. Henry is an attorney with Henry & DeGraaff, PS, in Seattle, WA. The firm has a consumer bankruptcy and litigation practice. The litigation focuses on bankruptcy issues under the automatic stay, violations of the bankruptcy discharge, and litigation under the FDCPA, FCRA, and the Washington State Consumer Protection Act.
Nancy L. Thompson is an attorney in Des Moines, IA and has been practicing consumer law for thirty-seven years. She is a member of the National Association of Consumer Advocates and the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys. She has defended approximately fifty National Collegiate Student Loan Trust (NCSLT) and Student Loan Solutions (SLS) cases in the last five years. In all but one of those cases, the defendant either won or had the case dismissed before trial.
