Meet the Experts: Ashlie Tarpley

About the Expert

Ashlie Tarpley is a consumer financial services attorney who specializes in advising institutions on compliance issues. Over the course of a decade, she’s litigated financial services matters, advised large financial institutions, and served as a Senior Counsel in the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s Office of Supervision Policy. Her work has spanned a wide range of areas, including:

• leading federal regulatory compliance exams;
• counseling clients on financial services and privacy law compliance strategies;
• advising clients on the rollout of new products or services;
• developing organizational policies and procedures;
• leading a contracting program;
• developing and executing compliance training; and
• developing financial services and housing policy.

In 2025, Ashlie founded Tarpley Templates and Legal Research or TTLR. TTLR’s mission is to help organizations grow confidently by providing expert contract support, reliable legal research, and actionable office management strategies.  Ashlie’s varied experience makes her an expert at helping organizations understand the practical implications of laws and regulations and apply them to everyday business decisions. Through TTLR, Ashlie hopes to use her expertise to create a fairer financial marketplace and shepherd organizations into secure and successful futures.
