CFPB Head Signals Anti-Consumer Motives with Announced Members of New Taskforce

“The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau today announced the members of a new “Taskforce on Federal Consumer Financial Law.” We don’t know what this group is supposed to do for an agency whose mission to protect consumers against predatory financial practices is pretty well defined already, by law. What we do know is that the newly announced four-person crew has a well-established record of opposing consumer protections that the bureau is specifically tasked to enforce.”
