NACA and Partners Share Concerns About Privacy Implications of CFPB's Debt Collection Proposal

NACA and 35 other consumer, privacy, civil rights, and public interest organizations submitted a comment to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau outlining privacy concerns raised by the Bureau's proposed rule on debt collection practices. NACA joins organizations on a letter opposing Section 3 of H.R. 1927, the Fairness in Class Action Litigation and Furthering Asbestos Claim Transparency Act of 2015. The House of Representatives is scheduled to vote on this legislation during the week of January 4, 2016.
